The Simple Mag is an uncomplicated everyday tote with a tall, minimal silhouette designed to carry what you need without adding anything unnecessary.

Made from smooth, full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leather in Matte Black, its clean shape allows the natural character of the leather to take center stage. Soft and substantial from the beginning, the leather will gradually soften and become more nuanced with use—a bag that looks increasingly at home the more you carry it.

The unlined interior keeps the design simple and lightweight, with a large pocket for the essentials. Reinforced at the base and sized to fit a 13" laptop, it is equally suited to work, errands, travel or the everyday rhythm in between.

The Simple Mag Tote is crafted from 100% full-grain Italian vegetable-tanned leather from a Leather Working Group (LWG) Gold-rated tannery—the highest rating awarded through LWG’s tannery audit program. Gold-rated tanneries meet rigorous standards for environmental management, responsible chemical use, energy and water efficiency, waste management, and worker safety.

Our leather is chrome-free and tanned using plant-derived vegetable tannins, including mimosa, chestnut, and oak. Unlike the chromium-based tanning used for the majority of leather produced today, vegetable tanning relies on natural tannins from plants and trees. The hides are sourced as a byproduct of the food industry, giving purpose to a material that would otherwise be discarded. Vegetable-tanned leather is also naturally biodegradable over time, allowing the material to return to the earth at the end of its useful life.
